Mission Statement
At Villagey, we’re on a mission to make parenting feel more connected, more social, and a whole lot easier.
What we are building
A modern Village - made real, one connection at a time.
Villagey is reimagining how parents get support - not from strangers or expensive services, but from the people already around them.
We’re building a platform that makes every day care easier to ask for, easier to give, and less invisible.
It starts with local chat groups and low key events - because connection and good vibes are the foundation.
Next comes helpful features like lightweight care requests, offers of help and a credit system to keep things balanced.
But at its core, Villagey is about one thing:
Making real-life support simple, visible, and shared.
Lets be honest…
Let’s be honest — parenting can be busy, isolating, and at times, a little bit boring.
Between work, school runs, snack requests, and endless to-do lists, most of what’s out there for parents feels like just another chore — or it’s built entirely around the kids, leaving adults in the background.
Villagey is different.
We’re currently working to create small, curated group chats and laid-back, feel-good events that work for both parents and children — but still feel like something you want to show up to.
Villagey is run by a growing crew of parents who are building the kind of community we’ve all been craving — inclusive, intentional, and actually enjoyable.
We’re not experts, and we’re not perfect — we’re just people who believe that parenting should be more socially enjoyable.
Villagey = The start of something social. Fun. Inclusive.
Like if a dinner party and a playgroup had a cool baby.
That’s Villagey.
FAQs
What is Villagey?
Villagey is a new kind of social space for parents and kids— part support group, part connection club, part grassroots movement. We help parents feel more connected by creating small, moderated group chats and real-life meet-ups that are fun, welcoming, and low-pressure.
What kinds of events do you run?
From coffee socials and skate park hangs to cool-parent afternoons with live tunes, every Villagey event is designed to be inclusive, low-key, and actually enjoyable. Think less circle time, more connection. You’ll leave with names, laughs, and maybe even a new crew.
How do the chat groups work?
Each Villagey group is run in WhatsApp and includes a small number of local parents with children around the same age. The chats are gently moderated to keep things kind, respectful, and easy to follow — no endless memes or unsolicited advice. You can be as active or quiet as you like — this is about presence, not pressure.
What is the long term vision of Villagey?
We know that real support starts with trust, so we’re focused first on building the relationships that make support feel natural — not awkward.
Eventually, we plan to develop a parent-to-parent babysitting platform that helps parents support each other.
For now? It’s about connection first.
Is Villagey a mums group?
Nope. Villagey is for anyone caring for kids — full stop.
That includes all sorts of families, solo parents, queer parents, grandparents, foster carers, and anyone else doing the parenting thing. Whether you’re brand new to parenting or deep in the school run era, you deserve spaces that feel good to be in. Villagey is one of them.
Who is behind Villagey?
Villagey was founded by Fiona — a parent and paramedic with a desire to build what’s missing in modern parenting life.
She runs and moderates the early Villagey groups and events, with the help of local parents who believe that community should feel like a party you’re always invited to.
Will Villagey be available in my area?
We’re planning to launch locally and grow gradually, focusing first on areas where waitlist demand is highest. By joining now and sharing your location, you’ll help bring Villagey to your area faster.
Does it cost anything?
Villagey is free.
We’re applying for local grants and community support to keep events accessible while we build something lasting.
In the future, we may explore memberships and perks, but we’ll keep it transparent, fair, and rooted in what feels good for the community.
I have feedback or want to get more involved. How can I help?
Amazing! We’re actively looking for Founding Families to join the club and help shape it from the beginning.
